It also happens in community with others, particularly as we put ourselves under the care, nurture, and mentoring of men and women who have the gift of teaching and discipling.
Yeshua's Love congregation is blessed to have a number of people who have the ability and willingness to disciple others. If this is of interest to you, please contact us either through the contact form or by phone.
Discipleship
For Yeshua, the value of discipleship is seen by how much time he spent with his disciples – as well as how much he expected of them in response to all that he taught them. Several times before his death, resurrection, and ascension, Jesus sent his disciples into the world to do what he had taught and demonstrated. They were expected to preach good news, heal the sick, cast out demons, and raise the dead (see Matthew 10:8).
A disciple is a student, one who is learning the way of their teacher or master. That is what Yeshua expects of those who follow Him. In addition, he expects those who are his disciples to expand the kingdom of Adonai by making disciples of others.
There is nothing more important than our growth in Yeshua. That growth comes as a result of our personal pursuit of Adonai.
